We have teamed up with Action Oldham Fund and Dr Kershaw’s Hospice for 1-2-3 Give to make helping local charities as easy as one, two three…

1-2-3 Give will be week-long event starting Monday 28th November showcasing our three great causes, how we make a difference in the borough and how you can get involved in supporting us.

And thanks to our President, Sir Norman Stoller CBE DL, all the money raised during the fundraising week will be doubled by the Stoller Charitable Trust and split equally between each charity.

Sir Norman said: “The three charities are organisations close to my heart and I was excited when I heard about this new project to work together.

“This town has always had a fantastic record when it comes to the people of the Oldham Borough giving to charitable causes and millions of pounds are raised every year to deliver vital work in many sectors both locally and beyond. Please give generously as this money really does go a long way to improving the lives of Oldham people.”

During the fundraising week, the Oldham Chronicle will be featuring case studies from each charity, including volunteers, projects and events that make a difference in Oldham, as well as stories from those who have been helped by the charities themselves.

Supporting the campaign is as easy as one two three:

1: Donate by texting OLDM01 and whatever amount you can afford to 70070

2: Double the money thanks to Stoller Charitable Trust

3: Make a difference to three great local causes

Claire Crossfield, Development Manager here at Mahdlo, said: “We are incredibly proud to be working with Dr Kershaw’s and Action Together on this campaign.

“Between us, we are privileged to be working with and supporting the people of Oldham at various stages in their lives.  Mahdlo provides a safe, exciting environment to inspire young people. We are currently supporting over 4,800 young people and this number is growing year on year. The demand for our services from young people and their families means that our fundraising challenge also increases. Without the financial support from our patrons and the local community and the countless hours our volunteers give, we could not continue.

1-2-3 Give is a fantastic way for us to raise awareness of these causes, generate much-needed support and also acknowledge the impactful ways in which we can work together for the greater benefit of our town.”

To donate, text OLDM01 to 70070 and donate whatever you can afford.
