On Saturday 13th September, our young members sold over 100 portions of organic home-grown veg on a market stall in Oldham town centre. Leeks, kale and juice from freshly crushed apples were amongst the produce sold, raising £50.
The team at Incredible Farm have been working with Mahdlo members and said, “Mahdlo Junior Zone amaze us again. They are dealing with food futures for Oldham by experimenting with enterprise. Last Saturday the young people raised over £50 for their growing zone by selling over 100 portions of healthy organic veg on a market stall in Oldham town centre. They also proved dab hands at crushing apples and gave lots of samples of apple juice away!”
