Live Music Now has been helping our members to explore music and express themselves creatively. The charity provides access to high quality live music in a workshop environment that is inspiring, interactive and accessible.

Exploring and expressing feelings non-verbally, developing conversational skills.
Improving mood; developing life skills such as turn-taking, collaborating, teamwork; increasing social interaction and self-confidence.
Improving concentration, memory and developing creativity.
Encouraging intentional movement, developing motor skills.
We’re thrilled that Jessica Hall and Joe Bronstein are coming into our Ability holiday club and Ability Senior Zone sessions during the summer! Jessica (violin) and Joe (viola) formed their duo ‘Jess & Joe’ after they met performing for Welsh National Opera together in 2015.
Jessica gained her Bachelor’s in Music with Honours from the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester in 2012. Jessica is a passionate outreach musician, and founder of the charity ‘Music For Kenya’ that takes participatory music sessions to disadvantaged children in rural Kenya. Joe achieved a first class BSc Mathematics degree from the University of Manchester, and graduated with distinction from the postgraduate programme at the Royal Academy of Music, studying the viola with Martin Outram. Joe is the violist of the Aurora Trio, holders of a Chamber Music Fellowship from the Royal Academy of Music.
Both players freelance with top UK orchestras including the BBC Concert, BBC Philharmonic, BBC Symphony, Hallé, Manchester Camerata, Opera North, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Royal Philharmonic and Welsh National Opera.
This is a wonderful opportunity for our members to experience high quality live music, to meet musicians and to explore making music themselves. In a recent session, young people drew patterns and shapes that they then translated into sound using a variety of different instruments:
