Bill is one of Britain’s most active and prominent philanthropists. In the early 80’s he set up his own foodservice distribution company Holroyd Meek that by 1994 had had a turnover of £190m serving over 7,000 restaurants across the UK. In 1995, Booker acquired the company and Holroyd started his own investment company. Since then Bill has invested in over 25 start-up and second-stage companies. Ian Hopkins QPM – Chief Constable Greater Manchester Police
Ian was appointed Chief Constable of GM Police in October 2015. He started his police career in Staffordshire in 1989 joining the Greater Manchester force in 2008. Ian has much experience of managing large events such as high profile football games as well as significant protests, firearms incidents and critical incidents. He is a Director of Marketing Manchester and the national lead for both the Policing of Party Political Conferences and Digital Engagement.
