Leaf your troubles behind and go on a hike this July as the Three Peaks of Saddleworth returns for 2023! Get your walking boots on and put your best foot forward on Saturday 1st July.
Ok, that’s enough of the hill-arious puns for one news article!
The much loved Three Peaks of Saddleworth charity walk will be returning on Saturday 1st July 2023.
This year will be the eighth year and is well and truly cemented in the calendar of hundreds of walkers, hikers, and charity fundraisers across Oldham and Saddleworth.
We will again be taking on the local landmarks of Pots and Pans, Indian’s Head and Wharmton Hill. The 15-mile route will be challenging but rewarded by some incredible views of Oldham and beyond…just as long as it’s not raining!
This year we’ve got three ticket options as we open the walk up to more people than ever before. In return for signing up for the challenge, you will receive a commemorative t-shirt, breakfast, picnic and refreshments along the route, and post-walk food at The Royal George.
Chris Wareing, Mahdlo Youth Zone Chair said:
I’ve taken part every year and persuaded our employees to enter a team, resulting in them setting up a company walking group, which has boosted morale and supports their mental health. I’d encourage everyone to sign up and take on this challenge and raise funds for Oldham’s young people. Let’s turn the hills of Saddleworth yellow!
Last year we raised over £11,000 and this year we’re setting our sights even higher – £15,000!
More than £6,000 was raised through the amazing fundraising efforts of our friends and supporters, can you help us beat that this year?
