Local business supports Mahdlo and places art at the heart of Oldham
Willmott Dixon, a leading independent construction and property services company based in Failsworth, has supported the young people of the town in a uniquely artistic way. They have been loaned a limited edition, signed print from Mahdlo of ‘Then and Now’, a painting created especially for us by local artist Kevin Haynes. The original painting was auctioned off to raise funds to support the activities and support we provide for the borough’s young people, and now local businesses can share in a piece of local art history and support the future generations of Oldham by borrowing or purchasing a print.
The painting depicts the industrial landscape of Oldham’s past, together with families and young people making their way towards the modern doors of Mahdlo. Wilmott Dixon will be displaying the framed print in their offices in Hollinwood Business Centre, which was a working cotton mill in the 1800s.
