Earlier this month, a group of our members and Young Leaders took part in gardening activities in Sholver. They had a brilliant time, discovering more about the nature that’s on their doorstep in the local communities.
They also worked well together as a team, learning new skills and supporting each other. Here is what they did:
Day one
• Litter picking
• Helping dig up a path & shovelling the stones into the new planting bed
• Using wheelbarrows to fill up the new planting bed with soil
• Transporting the soil up and down hill (about ten journeys each!)
• Planting all the plants in the new soil beds
• Helping to clear out the pond
Day two
• Litter picking
• Pond dipping
• Helping to clear out the pond
What a great couple of days, well done everyone!
