Paul Scholes inspires Mahdlo members and becomes our first Honorary Patron!
On Saturday 10th June, England and Manchester United legend Paul Scholes visited Mahdlo.
In the morning, local businesses and football fans had the opportunity to ask Paul questions about his career over breakfast, with all funds raised being reinvested into developing our sports offer. There were then two masterclasses where Mahdlo members learnt new skills and techniques to improve their game, followed by a Q&A session and the chance to get photos and autographs.
Frankie Byrne, our Sports Coordinator, said: “Once again, it’s been amazing to have Paul visit Mahdlo. Our members get really excited about the opportunity to develop their footballing skills with a genuine legend. There’s a real buzz in the building during these events and they all come away with increased confidence in their own ability.”
Paul Scholes also became Mahdlo’s first Honorary Patron, acknowledging his ongoing support through providing inspiring and aspirational opportunities for our members.
