https://www.mahdloyz.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/Design-our-minibus.png has been awarded £2,000 by The Skelton Charity to allow the charity to expand its climbing wall offer to even more young people in Oldham.
Mahdlo currently runs the only climbing wall in the local area, allowing more than 2,500 young people to take part in indoor climbing last year alone, with opportunities to progress to our more advanced climbing club.
The funding will be used to increase staff members trained to run climbing wall sessions, purchasing more climbing shoes and equipment to allow more young people to participate in community clubs and competitions, as well as general upkeep on the climbing wall.
Around 400 young people have progressed their climbing at Mahdlo to stepping up into a dedicated climbing club, with one member even competing at national level competitions.
