For one day only, the doors to Mahdlo Youth Zone didn’t lead to a world of opportunity…they led directly to Santa’s workshop!
This year, we know Christmas will be tough, so Mahdlo opened its doors to Oldham’s families to take the pressure off with a free Santa visit, arts and crafts activities to create unique Christmas boxes, free food for all the family, and sports and games to get involved with together.
Our clothes bank saw record numbers of visitors, and with clothes for young children all the way up to adults, we’re happy to be able to offer this free rehoming service for pre-loved items. We even saw one family leave with an entirely new wardrobe compared to what they came in with – that’s what we’re here to do!
Our army of yellow-clad elves worked hard to craft a Christmas miracle for yet another year and create decorations, hampers and presents for more than 500 young people and their families during the fair, which took place on Sunday 4th December.
The event was supported by Junior and Senior Zone members, who not only created gifts but led and managed their stalls selling items to raise money for Mahdlo.
