Last week, we took 8 of our Ability Zone boys aged 15-21 years away on a residential for two days and one night. This was the first time some of them had been away from home without their family or PA and everyone had a fantastic time.
The two days started on Thursday with a bright and early 7am start – the group made their way to Preston PGL outdoor education centre. They had a busy day taking part in fun and challenging activities, which included sensory trail, zip wire, outdoor climbing and archery. The evening ended with a hot meal, disco and a Harry Potter movie.
The next day, the boys were on their way to Blackpool where they visited some famous faces at the Madame Tussauds, followed by a visit to Sea Life centre. They boys enjoyed a chippy dinner in a local sea side café, followed by football on the beach to wrap up the day!
